When I pursued green building certification, the concept was new and largely unheard of. But it wasn’t about marketing buzz for me. I recognized that energy efficiency, building science, and sustainability would lead to homes that are more comfortable and economical to maintain. Becoming Texas’s first certified green professional was about integrating these principles into the foundation of my work.
