Building St. Jude Dream Homes: A Heartfelt Journey

St. Jude Dream Homes have been the highlight of my philanthropic journey. Over five years, I’ve built three of these special homes, raising $2.7 million for children bravely battling cancer. Visiting St. Jude’s Memphis hospital deepened my commitment—meeting families who’ve never received a bill because of donations like ours was profoundly moving.

Building these homes is no small feat. The goal is to construct them at nearly zero cost, thanks to generous donations of materials and labor. It’s a challenge that requires immense coordination and collaboration. But the real motivation comes from seeing the incredible strength of the children at St. Jude. Watching kids navigate the hospital hallways in wagons, despite their struggles, propelled me through the most difficult moments of these projects.

Knowing every effort meant raising funds so families receive the best care at no charge made it all worthwhile. These projects remind me that our success is a tool for doing good, which is central to my company’s values. I’m committed to helping others and building communities, not just houses.
