Building Hope: My Journey with St. Jude Dream Homes

Giving back to the community has always been a cornerstone of my career, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital holds a special place in my heart. I’ve had the privilege of building three St. Jude Dream Homes, raising $2.7 million over five years for children battling cancer. The experience truly changed me, especially after visiting the Memphis hospital and seeing firsthand how donations like these cover all medical bills for families.

The St. Jude Dream Home project showcases what’s possible when a community rallies together. Building those homes was challenging, not only because we needed to keep costs near zero, but also because I witnessed the children riding wagons through hospital hallways, their strength never wavering despite their fights. Families never receive bills, and that knowledge motivated me through every difficult day on these builds. Seeing how each dollar directly impacts kids and their families makes the effort more than worthwhile.
